Room seemed clean. Pet friendly hotels / rooms shouldn't have carpet in my opinion. My wife said she slept fine. I didn't. My bed was a rock, and my pillow was firm and quite thick. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a unique property with so much history in it. The views were incredible! The drive can be a little daunting for those of us not used to it but we made it fine in a couple of mid size suvs.
