"The property was clean. But the neighborhood was not! First the house, the floor in the bedroom by the living room sags, there was a standing AC in the room with an exhaust out the partially open front window of the house with just foam in the open window around the vent. To keep the window with the foam around the AC vent from opening further there were screws in the sill. There was no dish washer, no stove vent. The advertisement said for up to 6 people. They supplied 3 glasses for 6 people....

"We have stayed in Sara’s Shacks before so we weren’t concerned. Unfortunately we should have been concerned. We arrived after dark. Once I got into the house to turn the outside lights on, we found that the front porch light was burnt out and the back porch lighting was very poor. I messaged Sara about the front porch light and she messaged back immediately “I’ll send someone over to change the front porch light, sorry about that.”The next night we came back and no light. I messaged Sara “Again...

"This house was in a very quiet neighborhood - centrally located to Rock Hill SC. It was exactly as described - we didn't cook any meals - just coffee in the morning and there was plenty provided. Nicley decorated. Suited our needs very well."

The only drawback was that the pictures did not clearly show (to me at least) that the third bedroom is simply partitioned from the main living area with screens/fireplace and thus has no door and no real privacy… not an actual bedroom in the true sense of the word. We have older kids and were able to make this work but it might not for everyone. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Restful Retreat! We loved how they had everything labeled so you don’t have to go looking for things. The bed was really comfortable, my husband said it was his best nights sleep he’s had in a year! Kim sent us messages checking in on us to see if there’s anything we needed. It was convenient to Winthrop University and within walking distance to a nice Veterens Garden. It’s also close to restaurants, grocery store. We would stay here again!"
