"Location is safe, affordable and close to the main plaza of Antigua. Owner responded timely to questions. The downside is the property is not quiet at all. It’ll be quiet enough from about 11pm-5:30/6am but you hear absolutely every car, tuktuk, person, bus, truck that passes by, it’s a high frequency road and there’s zero soundproofing. You also need to be small and not pregnant to use the bathroom. The opening to the shower is less than shoulder width apart, maybe 13 or 14 inches? I had to...

"The owner and his family were very kind and friendly. He let us keep our bags there for the day until we had to leave and gave us two separate bedrooms instead of four of us sharing one room. This is all much appreciated. The bedroom entry doors do not lock, whether you are in the room or not. Ours didn’t even latch closed. The sheets were clean for the most part but floors and walls not so much. The shared toilette and shower needs a good scrub. The other shower and bathroom we were told...
