Büchenbach might not have many top sights, but Kunstmuseum Erlangen and Schlossgarten are two attractions nearby that you can check out.
My first room's electricity failed, but they quickly arranged a new room for me. Otherwise a beautiful hotel, great breakfast, great staff.

There was no breakfast. Housekeeping was an issue. There was a broken metallic pin on the carpet. I got heart on my right feet. Very annoying as I had to drive for 3 hours.

Erlangen is a cozy small town in the north of Bavaria with friendly and helpful people. Diversity is embraced there. Bicycles, there are plenty of them. You can easily find halal food. Public transport network might not be the best though.
Beautiful town to learn how to take a train to visit all of the nearby towns and historical architecture. Slow paced, relaxed lifestyle that allows first timers to Europe to engage in the lifestyle. Extremely safe area.
