"Everything was lovely. The only negative was that each time we used the hotel- provided iron, all the electricity went out. We had to call for assistance each time. They told us when using the iron not to use anything else. We followed those directions but the fuse still blew."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional Stay — A True Hidden Gem Relais Villa dei Gelsi & Spa was simply outstanding. From the moment we arrived, everything about the property felt special — elegant, peaceful, beautifully maintained, and incredibly welcoming. The villa itself is absolutely gorgeous, with so much character and attention to detail. It has that perfect balance of authentic Italian charm and understated luxury. The surroundings are beautiful and serene, making it feel like a private retreat while still being perfectly located for exploring the area. What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the hospitality. The service was warm, personal and genuine — the kind of attention that makes you feel like a welcomed guest rather than simply a hotel customer. Nothing felt forced or overly formal; they simply know how to take care of people. We travel quite a bit and stay in many beautiful hotels, but Relais Villa dei Gelsi & Spa is one of those rare places that leaves an impression. It has charm, elegance, tranquility and, most importantly, heart. We would return without hesitation and absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay. A wonderful discovery and easily a five-star experience for us."

"Overall our stay was good. The room was very modern, clean and spacious. The bed was uncomfortable though; you could feel the springs in the mattress. Bathroom had a decent sized shower. Breakfast was okay. Your typical continental options and some egg options. Front desk staff were very kind and helpful with recommendations. Hotel is outside of the tourist area so be prepared to walk a good distance or take a taxi. Nothing to do around the hotel area and not too many restaurant options nearby."

"Claudia was an excellent host; prompt responses to messages and easy check in process.The location was very central - especially wonderful for our trip to the Opera at the Arena - and has a great view of the river! There were 66 steps to climb to get to the third floor apartment and unfortunately no lift, but it meant we got our exercise in during our week long stay in this beautiful city."
