Important Note to Travelers: Cara's Cabin is next door to Chatham Hills, another vacation rental property that caters to large groups. Cara's Cabin offers a private entrance, driveway, and parking. While you enjoy your own space, please be aware that there is another property next door. Some noise can be expected during busier seasons. We do however enforce strict quiet hours from 10pm-8am.

Important Policies & House Notes

1. Dogs are welcome with prior approval at a rate of $35 per dog, per day.

2. Rental Agreement & Security Deposit: After booking, you will receive a request through our management system, OwnerRez, to: Complete your rental agreement & schedule your $500 security deposit hold. This is a temporary hold only (not a charge) processed 1 day before check-in & released 3 days after check-out, assuming no damage. Your reservation is not considered fully confirmed until both steps are completed.

3. Cancellation Policy: We do not offer refunds for circumstances beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding. We highly advise adding on travel insurance during your booking process.

4. Wi-Fi Disclaimer: While Wi-Fi is typically fast and reliable, occasional interruptions may occur due to our rural location.

5. Occupancy Policy: We strictly enforce occupancy limits. No unauthorized guests are permitted under any circumstances.

6. Listing Accuracy: We do our best to keep all information accurate and up to date. However, minor errors may occur. If they do, we will act quickly to resolve them, but cannot guarantee liability for unforeseen circumstances.

7. Nature & Pest Disclaimer: This is a home in nature—and with that comes nature itself. Despite regular cleaning, monthly pest control, and weekly trash service, you may encounter: Fruit flies, gnats, May flies Mosquitoes, horse flies, Bats, mice, and other seasonal wildlife. This is completely normal for the area and does not reflect the cleanliness of the home.
