The place is straight out of a Hallmark movie! The host was so kind and checked on us daily. The room was adorable with a balcony overlooking the street. There’s a Tea Room a few steps across the street with wonderful coffee and pastries. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here.

You must stay here when visiting Engelberg. The hotel is great and the staff is even better! I’ve never felt so welcomed at a hotel in my entire life. They take the time to show you around the property prior to checking in and they truly make you feel like you’re a member of their family. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. They have a great common kitchen as well for those who want to stay in and cook. We could not have had a better stay! Thank you Mladan, Frank and team for your hospitality!!!

I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. My room was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep after a long day of exploring the area. Furthermore, the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety during these challenging times were commendable. I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. The exceptional service, great accommodations, delicious dining, and prime location all combined to make it a memorable stay. My wife and I stayed here in August 2023. I can sum up our experience with one word: Perfect! The PROS: 1) Mobile app check-in/electronic key/check-out/the ability to contact the host 2) The room was immaculate and wonderfully constructed... ample windows and power sources... it also featured a small refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and made even more so with their comforters 3) The common kitchen area was by far the nicest one we have encountered and had everything one could possibly think of for food preparation, cooking, and eating. It featured 1 CHF coffee (on the honor system), tea, and lots of cookies and the "cake of the day" 4) The hotel also features a restaurant (we did not avail) and judging by the number of people frequenting it, I suspect it was excellent. 5) There was a lovely lounge set aside specifically for adults and a large playroom set aside for children. 6) The location of the hotel was absolutely spectacular. Within easy walking distance to two grocery stores (Migros and Coop) and it was a stones throw from the train station. We easily walked to the Mt. Titlis gondola station, but there is a public bus that will take you there. The CONS: 1) In the spirit of full disclosure, the bathroom shower is extremely tight and there is no tub. Neither bothered us in the least, but "large" individuals would not fare well with these accommodations. In fairness to the hotel, there may be other rooms that could accommodate large people. 2) Nothing else!!!

Our room had a view of the alps, we loved the kitchen cooking options, or local dining options, we enjoyed the location, perfect! Easy to walk to Titlis cable cars, or start a hike on our own in the lower hills. The Easter Market on Saturday was adorable and so much fun! The staff is very helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again absolutely! It is decorated in a lovely manner, very clean, cute, quiet. We didn't have a hair dryer in our bathroom but we also didn't ask for one to borrow (maybe they do have one to borrow) we only stayed 2 nights, wish we had stayed longer! Maybe next time we will !
