"Staying at The Block was a truly enjoyable experience. Lots of history there and we stayed for four nights. This small hotel was renovated from an old Sheriff's Office and town jail so don't expect a lot of fancy five-star amenities, but it is well taken care of clean, and comfortable. Upon arrival, there was a mix-up in our reservations (my fault) but we were met by Jennifer who helped us correct the mix-up and then continued to make our stay enjoyable for the entire week. She is very personable and an invaluable addition to the Block staff, always there to offer suggestions of things to do, places to go or find places to eat. Thank you, Jennifer for an amazing job. "This is a really nice hotel that has been beautifully restored over the past few years. Each of the rooms is unique in character and the staff are super friendly. It is easily walkable to shops and restaurants and there is parking nearby. Highly recommended!"

"Room was perfect. Very clean. King bed very comfortable; small dining table and 2 chairs; in-room coffee machine, small refrigerator and microwave; outside bbq patio area with plenty of lounge chairs; separate pool area. "

"The property is an old boarding house type Inn. It is exactly what is advertised. It was comfortable, very clean, and had friendly staff. The coffee in the morning was excellent and on time. There is no television in the rooms and the hot water system in the room needs work. Otherwise I knew what I was getting and was happy with it."

"There was no onsite parking and it was on a very narrow street. If you need to drop off your luggage, you would have to drive all the way up a narrow two way street and hope no one is coming the other way. Parking was down below where you have to walk down stairs or a ramp. There were lots of people in that parking area who were just "hanging around" and it seemed unsafe. The room was fine, if you don't mind the sink being in the bedroom instead of the bathroom."
