"We absolutely loved our stay at Ásgeirsstaðir Cottages!! We wish we could have stayed more than just a night, but we had to move along to our next destination. "One of the most beautiful drive to this property located at remote location! Even though it’s gravel road, if you enjoy driving, you’d appreciate the beauty of the nature during entire drive. Other guests spotted whales and dolphins right at front side of property. I and my wife enjoyed our stay. I’d go there again just to enjoy the drive and have a cup of coffee in morning sitting at bench in front of the property hoping to spot whales!"

"The room was spotless, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. There's a well-equipped shared kitchen on the first floor where you can cook meals, toast bread, and prepare other food. Complimentary coffee and tea are also available, which was a nice touch. The only downside is that the room is a bit small for two people. Other than that, it was a great stay, and I would happily recommend it."

"Great central location with free parking, and the room was clean and spacious. However, this is more of a guesthouse than a hotel. Having to collect the entry code from the restaurant a block away was inconvenient, especially with luggage, and carrying bags up to the second floor with no lift was a hassle. The restaurant staff were not very welcoming, and overall I felt the stay was overpriced for what was offered."

"So we rented the apartment version of this hotel . It was lovely. Had a bedroom a living area that also had a bed . Dining table and full kitchen and bathroom . The listing gets confusing due to the other reviews but there are two versions the apartment version where you are o ly with your group and then the rent a room with a community living and kitchen area . The full apartment was great and a great little village ."

"We had a wonderful stay here. I especially loved that the guesthouse offers a fully equipped kitchen that guests can use for free, along with complimentary laundry facilities and a coffee dispenser. The place was spotless, and the beds were clean, fresh, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Seyðisfjörður."

"Coming into Seydisfjordur was like driving into a fairytale. A stunning area. Checking into this property was the icing on the cake. The property was impeccable. A modern farmhouse feel that was clean and over the top amazing! We all wanted to stay longer, and we would recommend staying a lot longer in this area."

"The property appeared newly renovated and was very clean. The staff were very friendly and we had a nice dinner (fish soup was excellent) and really enjoyed playing cards in the dining hall when we finished our meal. The dining hall had a wonderful playlist and some beautiful artwork of the mountain range to the east, which really created a relaxing atmosphere after a day of traveling. We would stay here again."

"Convenient location to gas station and grocery store. Onsite cafe and bar, big free parking lot. The hotel is a bit outdated, I had A five bunk beds private room for 4 people, no desk or shelf, but I used one bed to put stuff, works fine. Bathroom setup more like campground, individual room has door and curtain. Press button once hot water comes down, but only last 5-10 seconds. I have to repeatly press button. Kitchen has cookwares, utensil and plates. Range stove only has one out of 4 stove...

"Pro: guests cleaned up after themselves all the spaces were clean. Shoes off at the door you have to switch into indoor slippers. Very well equipped shared kitchen. Didn't have to wait long to use bathrooms/showers since there were multiple. Convenient location to shops and restaurants. Con: way too noisy. Even though we had our own room it felt like a true hostel. Might as well pay more if you're looking for good rest. The heavy doors will slam shut every few minutes and it's not soundproof....

"There is some disconnect between this hotel’s policy and that on the Expedia app. with more than 24 hours before I was to arrive. Nowhere on the Expedia app did say my rate was nonrefundable. I had to rebook my trip less than two hours after reserving the hotel, and needed to cancel, however, a hotel was not understanding and charged me full rate. Even speaking with the hotel staff was not helpful."

"This was a nice hotel with an excellent restaurant for dinner and the best continental breakfast of our whole trip. We only stayed one night and did not use the spa, which you have to pay extra for, but it is there for those who wish to do so. Close to town and great views of the lake. Seems like they are working to landscape the property as well."
