"Definitely a bit different to other hotels we have stayed in, possibly best described as quirky. Loved the use of wood throughout & our somewhat alternative four poster bed. Our room was spacious, with 2 comfortable chairs. Very clean & well presented. Thoughtful use of plants & small seating areas outside: we had a sheltered little patio.
Good choice at breakfast, although having to decide on arrival some of what we would like for the 2 days felt like a bit of a challenge. Could understand...
"Very well maintained and fab to stay. We had dinner there and it was fabulous. I booked a table in advance. It was full when we were there, so would recommend booking ahead. Steak and shiraz with a peppercorn sauce. Breakfast was set out on a full table to help yourself with juices, cereal, pastry, croissants, toast and there were jams a plenty to chose, along with marmite. There were muffins and bars along with fruit basket. We were greeted and asked if wale would like tea or coffee. Staff...

"Elizabeth and Martin were perfect hosts and nothing too much trouble. The location was perfect for us and near great restaurants and pubs beside river.
Breakfasts cooked to order and perfection...even the poached eggs just right. Nice courtyard in back with gazebo seating and lots of flowers.
We were there on hottest weekend of year so bedroom very hot but nothing could have been done about it...ag least windows opened and was a large ceiling fan in room. Would have preferred king bed but knew...
"Oak Tree Rooms was an excellent base for our New Forest weekend. I think the only drawback was the other people staying - they did like a loud conversation through a locked door, which was quite annoying! Other than that, the rooms were very comfortable indeed."
