"I picked the Civilian Hotel because of its Art Deco interior design. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a Jazz trio plays on Saturday night in their second floor lounge. The room was perfectly sized with a queen sized bed. Helpful and friendly staff made it a pleasure. There is an awesome Mexican restaurant right next door. Jazz Cultural….. another Jazz club was on 46th street only two blocks away. The rooftop bar, dance area, lounge was perfect…it wasn’t populated with people. No event when I went to the penthouse but I had access so I could take pictures. Amazing stay. I highly recommend the Civilian!"
