Margaritaville Vacation Club - St. Thomas
10/10 Excellent
"If you enjoy a private resort - almost like you are the only one there - go right after hurricane season in October! Of course other people were there, but it was so quiet, serene, absolutely peaceful and I felt so relaxed!! I am seriously considering returning next year for some much needed R & R!! Every room has an ocean view! The pool on the hill was magnificent! Be prepared to pay a lot for food. I'm sure it's not cheap to fly/boat everything they need to the island. It's not cheaper in town so just budget $100 to $200 a day for food (without drinks). There is a little pizza joint out the main gate and to the right that will deliver. I give it a 10 out of 10!"

Beachfront Villas at Crystal Cove

"The location was nice. Close to restaurants and Sapphire beach. Unfortunately we were left without power due to no generator for this property. We had to throw away $100 worth of groceries and couldn’t use appliances like laundry, refrigerator, and microwave. Host offered to pay for dinner and provide a future stay. Which is nice but it definitely affected this vacation."

View of Paradise at Sapphire Beach

"We stayed at building D Sapphire Beach Resort. Beautiful balcony and views. The unit was clean and comfortable. Pool was beautiful and always had a wonderful breeze. Beach bar was just okay. Only had seating along one side of the bar. The beach in front of the beach bar and restaurants was nonexistent, very narrow. For some reason we weren’t allowed to get chairs placed down at the wider part of the beach because of where our unit was located. Because we were renting there we didn’t pay to rent chairs but they limited the beach access. Pizza Pie food was delicious as was the Sea Salt restaurant. The bar burgers were good too. We used Time Saver Provisions grocery delivery to our unit. Their service was excellent and well worth it! We purchased breakfast items like coffee and oat milk, eggs, bagels and cream cheese, and a couple snacks. We also ordered our alcohol and a case of water bottles. Ordered gallons of water to make coffee. We had a soft collapsible cooler and brought reusable ice packs in our checked bags. Ordered some can drinks and used the cooler every day to the pool or beach. The water was so warm, pretty and clear. The weather in October was perfect. Make note when you arrive of when cruise ship visitors will be on the island. Megan’s Bay was so crowded when we went. Take enough sunscreen and maybe some Aloe gel. Everyone was very nice, clean, and safe and security guys were always walking around the property. It was a wonderful place to stay and relax!"

Island Time Sapphire Beach, Beach level, Building A, Amazing views, Generator.

"We stayed at this condo for 10 days. Perfect for a couple!! It was very clean. There was a vase full of fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of wine. I appreciate that there were some cleaning supplies, a broom (for all that sand that tags along), dish soap, a starter supply of coffee and toilet paper. Has ample amount of cookware. The bed is comfortable, multiple pillows to choose from. Nice big shower. The location is great. The beach is literally steps in front of the condo. There is a bar and restaurant just to the left. Kathie the host was great! She replied to any message within minutes. The only thing that could have made the condo any better is to have a in-house washer and dryer. (There is a washer and dryer available at the marina). We would absolutely stay at this condo again with no hesitation."

Secret Harbour Beach Resort
8/10 Good
"The room was nice, a little outdated, but the view of the ocean made up for it. It was very clean though. There was a kitchenette, bathroom, living room and kitchen all in one space. It was all just open (except the bathroom that obviously had a door.) Make sure you really like the person you’re going with because the space is tight! The bed was so comfortable though, we slept like babies when we were there. If you want to use the pool no one tells you that it is up on a hill and you have to climb a million steps to get to it. It is not even attached to the resort itself. It is beautiful though, and huge. So if you cannot climb stairs, you can’t get to the pool. Forget asking anyone for help, they are all so hard to understand so my boyfriend and I just explored everywhere finding things. Also, the workout room is very small and barely has any equipment. Just driving around the island is terrible. First of all, you drive on the left side of the road. Secondly, drivers cut you off and flip you the bird. They are so hostile for no reason. It’s worse than driving in New York City! I recommend not leaving the resort if you don’t have to. You’re taking a chance risking your life by driving on this island! Secret Harbour is the most beautiful beach. Crystal clear water. You can see little fish swimming around your feet. The problem is there is hardly any beach frontage. It’s only a couple hundred feet, so forget those long walks on the beach. Overall a wonderful adventure!"
