"The location is great, especially if you’re planning to visit Buffalo Rock State Park, Matthiessen State Park, or Starved Rock. They also offer kayaking on-site, and I believe they offer discounts on kayaking if you’re staying at the campground. The nearest towns are about 10–15 minutes away, so you’re still fairly close to restaurants, stores, and other necessities. A few things to keep in mind: there are no showers, and the campground only has porta-potties. The grounds were okay but could...

"Such a fun rental! We will be back!Host was excellent with communication and attentive."

"I booked the house for a work trip for three weeks. The grill was filthy, rusted, and the electronic ignite didn't work. It took two weeks to get a replacement. When the replacement arrived, the old one was left there as well. No grill brush provided to clean it and no cover to protect it from the rain. The carpet on the stairs and upstairs in the bunkbed room was dirty with dark spots. The outdoor patio furniture was dirty and torn. Housekeeping attempted to launder it but ended up throwing the...

"The heritage harbor is a really nice community to stay at and a good location. We visited downtown ottawa, utica and starved rock. The grill is conveniently right out the door near the pool which is also very close. I loved the cute little screen in areas where you can eat your food or play games. They also have a restaurant onsite which was really good. They had live music when we arrived on Sunday outside near the tiki bar. The set up of the house was perfect for my family and we had...

"The property was super clean and comfortable. One of the hiccups was being able to locate pots and pans. We had to have someone come and bring us the missing items. Our son loved having the pool right out the front door and overall the community was friendly and quiet. We also experienced very little communication from the host which was frustrating at check-in and check out, but I think that is due to this property being managed by a company outside of Vrbo. but despite the limited...

"Enjoyed stay, close to Starved Rock. "

"It was really cozy, with slight issues with bugs and cleanliness beforehand."
