Green road near to Thornton Moor, Yorkshire This is Dodgson Lane. South of Dodgson Farm, it is a metalled lane joining the farm to the motor road, but north of the farm, as here, it is a 'green road', formerly used as a drove road for sheep and cattle. There has recently been some controversy about rights of way over such roads: it has been alleged that their use by motor cycles and quad bikes causes damage, and should not be allowed.

Access Lane from Verjuice Bank Gives access from the farm down towards the valley and the town of Earby.

Dodgson Lane Gives access from Dodgsons Farm to the Skipton/Colne moor road. It affords fabulous views across the Aire Gap, with Pen y Ghent and Ingleborough visible on the skyline.
