"Easy on and off the freeway while also a short walk to downtown with restaurants and shops. Hot tub was much comfie and well maintained. Building is showing its age but the essentials are well maintained. Newer AC units kept room cozy."

We love the fact that it’s close to the freeway, the restaurants are amazing for a quaint town, there’s great restaurants. When I had a concern in check in, it was resolved right away. "Franke's Retreat was even better than it appears in the Vrbo photos. Franke's was roomy, comfortable, and came with a surprising amount of amenities. We loved the hot tub, the kitchen, and the heated floors in the bathrooms. We also took advantage of the dens (both upstairs and downstairs) and the grill on the deck. The location was also fantastic. You're around 5-15 minutes away from everything in the Dunsmuir area (golf, Castle Crags, Mossbrae Falls, etc.). The Upper Sacramento is just down the hill, and overall a really beautiful, quiet (except for the trains), scenic area. I would highly recommend!"
