A Country Vacation in the "Barn"

If you’re looking for a rustic vacation in the countryside, you’ve come to the right place! The attic (2nd floor) of a converted barn is the perfect spot to unwind. As a couple, you can enjoy an idyllic countryside getaway here. In addition to dogs and cats, the farm is also home to chickens and a flock of sheep.
In addition to numerous hiking opportunities, the surrounding area offers swimming in the neighboring Warmbad, at Aqua Marien in Marienberg, or—during the summer season—at the Venusberg outdoor pool or the Greifenbach reservoir. Many museums, castles (Augustusburg, Scharfenstein Castle, Wolkenstein Castle, Wildeck Castle), and attractions of the Erzgebirge Mining Region World Heritage Site—including smelting works and mines—are waiting to be discovered. In the summer, the well-known “Greifensteine” open-air theater hosts performances.
A 25-minute drive takes you to Chemnitz, the “European Capital of Culture 2025,” which offers excellent shopping and an outstanding cultural scene. A trip to Bohemia is also worthwhile, particularly a visit to Karlovy Vary.
