Botanika Osa Peninsula Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

Lietty

A spacious room with a wooden ceiling, large windows, a sofa, chairs, and a small table.

Lapa Rios Lodge

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

My wife and I were at the Lodge for eight (8) full days. We have extensive travel experiences throughout the world. We cannot say enough about our stay, without a doubt one of the best we have had across almost 30 years. Among so many world class amenities (food, service, knowledge of the area, our guides, etc.) , what stands out the most were the people. Every single staff member from our guides to the front desk,....it was just not the service you remember, but how they made us feel. We...

Danta Corcovado Lodge

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 12 and 10. The lodge and screen walled cabins provide a nice setting with wonderful creatures and sounds all around. The tours were very good. We did a kayak tour from the gulf beach into a mangrove canal and saw sea turtles, birds, monkeys, and a sloth. The tractor tour into Corcodavo was nice where the highlight for us was toucans. The guide Luiz is very knowledgeable about birds and plants. The drinks and meals were...

Luna Lodge

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

My husband and I had an amazing experience at Luna Lodge. From the very welcome at the Puerto Jimenez airport, the ride to Carate, the owner's welcome upon arrival and throughout our entire stay. We stayed in a tent, all the way up the steps. Couldn't have asked for a better view. We definitely had the best lodgings at Luna Lodge. Yes, up the steps, but so worth it to sit on the deck and see and hear the wildlife. We hiked, day and night, practiced yoga, had massages, kayaked, panned for...

Leesa

La Leona Eco Lodge

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

You are in a remote lodge where you hike in for 45 min to 3 hours depending on how many animals( monkeys, anteaters, scarlet macaws) you stop to watch. A horse cart brings in your luggage. There is no air conditioning, hot water or wifi but the food is fantastic and the smoothies delicious. There several activities available including a tour of Corcavado NP, night hikes and turtle hikes in season. If you can't stand the heat and humidity don't go. If you like being in a special place and seeing...

El Remanso Rainforest Lodge

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

This resort provides an authentic "forest" experience while at the same time making sure all one's needs are taken care of. Dining is surprisingly good (my husband is a gourmet chef so he should know) as is the service! We couldn't ask for more but got it thanks to the friendliness of the owners. They are ever present and offer great advice (as well as conversation) for a fulfilling experience. We were sincerely sad to leave and hope to return in the future...

Iguana Lodge Beach Resort

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

You can just shed all your worries and concerns when you arrive at Iguana Lodge. You are greeted by the warm, friendly staff who become like family members by the time you leave. If yoga is your penchant - this is an ideal spot with two lovely yoga platforms situated amongst tropical plants all while listening to the surf crashing on the almost empty beach. Take a swim in the pool, boogie board on the beach, sit at the Pearl restaurant in one of the cushioned adirondack chairs sipping on the...

Cabinas Tropicales

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

We loved our stay at Cabinas Tropicales! We had a big room with private bathroom that easily housed us and our two medium sized dogs. JeanCarlos the manager was super friendly and helpful, and we also chatted with the nice cleaner who had a great dog named Fiona who wore a helmet and goggles to come to work in the morning. The shared kitchen was well-stocked and the fridge available for our food. The property is gated so the dogs could wander around. The location of Cabinas Tropicales is...

Maze Lodge

Puerto Jiménez

10/10 Excellent

It is a true rare gem. A wonderful lodge in the middle of the jungle. Our villa was spacious. It has two huge rooms and a giant porch where we saw monkeys. I was grilling to the sound of howler monkeys. The owners are a young Danish couple who are welcoming and helpful. They are building a big pool which is going to be ready in the next few weeks. We were the second guests and I can tell you- this is going to be an upscale lodge so come now while the prices are still reasonable. The way...

Fish Hook Marina & Lodge

Golfito

10/10 Excellent

Half of the building is over the bay, so walking up to the rail you're guaranteed to see unique birds and small fish...possibly a crocodile or a stingray. The layout is unique in that the guest rooms open right into the dining and bar area. I quickly got used to it and found it convenient. The bar shuts down at 10pm, so unwelcome noise also stops at 10pm. The food is good and the staff is friendly. If you're from the US, be aware that the service culture is different. If you are waiting for...
