"Rooms need either air conditioning or better ceiling fans. When it gets hot, there is no way to get proper airflow. If you open the windows, the insects will come inside your room. Please also add a microwave to the rooms. Shower was clogged with hair and the water could not evacuate. I had to unclog the shower otherwise the water level would have risen and gone into the bedroom area."

"Wir bedanken uns bei der Familie Arnstadt, dass wir ihr Ferienhaus mit 2 Hunden nutzen durfte. Es hat alles gepasst und die Gegend war genau richtig für uns. Wir konnten sehr gut auf der Terrasse sitzen, obwohl es auch mal geregnet hat. Zum ein und ausladen unserer Sachen konnte man vor der Terrasse gut kurzweilig mit dem Auto stehen bleiben, danach fuhr ich das Auto auf den vorgegebenen Parkplatz. Der See fußläufig in 8 Minuten war sehr gut zu erreichen und ein wunderschöner Weg einmal drum herum, war genau der richtige Spaziergang. Bänke stehen dort für kleine Pausen und es gibt eine Insel im See, die über eine Holzbrücke erreichbar ist. Für kurze Spaziergänge mit den Hunde war gegenüber vom Parkplatz ein Zugang Richtung Feld und Waldwanderwege. Fantastische Foto Motive ergaben sich zu jeder Tageszeit und nicht nur dort, sondern im näheren Umgebung ( ca 10 Minuten mit dem Auto) konnte man noch vieles mehr Erforschen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend mit dem Auto kurz erreichbar und nicht zu vergessen, die Therme in Bad Steben, in 8km erreichbar mit ausreichenden Parkplatzangeboten, kostenlos. Alles in allem waren die 10 Tage Urlaub für uns und den Hunden ein Genuss."

"This is a beautiful old hotel property. It has great bones and the rooms have been updated and modernized nicely. That said, there are some very quirky aspects to the property. Firstly, there is no reception - just an automated machine that provides a key card. This means that there is no one to ask about parking, amenities etc. The second thing is that no one speaks English at all. The cleaning staff was very sweet but could not speak a word. We had to use Google Translate for all interactions including ordering breakfast, asking for towels, etc. Finally, the public spaces are very austere. This seems out of place with the historic hotel. For example, there are just IKEA tables and chairs in the eating area but then there is a large open foyer on the second floor with a grand piano. But there are no chairs or couches in that room. It seems with a bit of TLC this could be a great boutique hotel and cool place to hang out. This is especially true when you consider the location right across the street from the historical theatre where we attended the International Ballet Festival."
