We had a wonderful stay! It's a beautiful spot, and we especially loved the courtyard area for eating breakfast and lounging. The only downside was that our room didn't have a mini fridge, but that was something I should have considered ahead of time. I especially loved all of the gorgeous Victorian architecture!

Our room was spacious and well maintained, with the exception of the carpet, which I believe is in the process of being replaced. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless (with a very large tub!) The sheets were crisp and the pillows fluffy. There is no longer food service because they are in the process of replacing it with a restaurant, but there were nice places to eat around the corner.

The building we were in was secure and very clean. We liked the fact there was parking on property and off the side street. The air conditioning was working well for the middle of the hot summer. If I had any complaint at all it would be disappointment with the breakfast. The write up in Experian said it was a full breakfast but it was only fruit (apples & oranges) and pastries. It was OK but not what we were expecting.

Fantastic location and the staff were really nice. The room was comfortable and sitting rooms were very cool. My only complaint I had was a difficult time with the temperature in the room. I had a window AC and box fan and that was fine for the day time but it stayed really cold during the night, and the thermostat didn’t seem to work to heat it back up.

Great lodging option for those staying in Detroit. Friendly staff and great rooms in wonderful old former upscale homes from the 1880’s. The hotel is close to many attractions. I will say that trying to check in online did not work very well and the phone number listed did not seem to go anywhere. I looked them up on the internet, got the correct phone number and called to check in which went smoothly. The issue may have been because I went through Expedia to book the room. We will definitely go back!

I love the Victorian style homes. I like how you can just chill in tranquility on the properties premises. The staff is very kind and accommodating. The Better Made chips are a bit pricey to get a hometown favorite please lower the price from $3 a bag. That is exponentially too much asking price and mark up. Please restore some of the breakfast staples you had before, boiled eggs, and pastries etc. I wish the pastry weekend can be extended to days and add boiled eggs and oatmeal. I am a loyal patron of the Inn properties nonetheless. I appreciate how they accommodate lodgers with their luggage holding facilities, that is a big plus!

Pro: free parking. We went to see a Tiger’s game and took a Q-line. The station was very close and convenient. There was no coffee machine in the room, but it was out in the hallway. We love old buildings and it was fun to stay there. Pastries for breakfast were good size and good. The reception lady refilled for us and that was nice. The living room where we had breakfast was pretty. Con: Carpet in our room was worn out. I am sure it is cleaned but felt dirty. The furniture in our room was not in a good shape. I felt my head was lower than my feet because the bed was not straight anymore. NO coffee machine in the room. Tv remote for a tiny tv was sticky.
