Meet Your Home Away from Home
This Oak Park ranch, renovated in 2022, features four beautiful bedrooms (each with its own smart TV) including a primary bedroom / bathroom suite. The kitchen was completely re-done and includes a gas range and range hood, quartz countertops, custom wood shelving, and stainless steel appliances. Not to be outdone by the main floor, our basement is the secret highlight of the house with a massive entertaining area along with a work area featuring two full standing-desk, dual-monitor setups with docks, keyboards, mouses, and comfy office chairs! And to top it all off, relax or entertain in our expansive fully-fenced back yard where we have a propane grill, a ~300 SF deck, string lights, a fire pit, and plenty of seating! Finally, we are a quick 10-minute drive to the Ferndale/Royal Oak areas and 15 - 20 mins from Birmingham (in one direction) and downtown Detroit and all of its amenities in the other! With plenty of off-street parking, including space for a couple cars inside our locked gate, and also ample free street parking, this is the perfect spot for any gathering or extended getaway!
Enjoy high-speed WiFi, smart TVs in each bedroom + in our upstairs and basement living areas, a Keurig w/ French Roast coffee pods, a Nespresso w/ plenty of espresso pods, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, in-suite washer/dryer, Solimo bath products, a fully-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor deck with a propane grill. The first and main level of the home has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms along with the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The basement, down a full flight of stairs, features the workspace area with two standing desk setups, a separate entertaining / TV area, another bedroom and another full bathroom, and the laundry room. The backyard has a massive limestone entertaining area with outdoor seating and a fire pit (bring your own fire wood!), and then the deck includes a dining table for 6 and our propane grill.

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.
Parking

Please park in our driveway to the right-hand side of the house. The parking area behind the gate fits two cars and the driveway in front can fit another one to two cars in tandem, but if you need extra parking, there’s plenty of free street parking in front of the house as well!
Entry

The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door. Enter the unique code we'll provide you the week before your stay begins, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, enter your code and press the CHECK to lock the door.
Our Availability

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!
Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.
Message us to schedule a quick call if you have any issues!
Extra Linens: In a plastic bin alongside the air mattress, you will find two bath towels and two hand towels, a set of sheets, and a throw blanket. Please use pillows from one of the beds for the air mattress.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:
- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

The most convenient stop is 10 Mile @ Scocia. From here, you can catch busses going east/west on 10 Mile which connect to routes all throughout Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties and will take you everywhere from St. Claire Shores to Ann Arbor to DTW International Airport! Lyfts and Ubers are also frequently accessible in the area for any urgent travel needs.
