"I have just one suggestion and that is to apprise renters that there are 15 steps to get up to the actual living quarters—It was a huge surprise when we got there and was not a problem for us but it could be a disaster for someone that is disabled or with assistive devices. We did not see anything in the ad that reflected the steps."

"Our family of 6 adults were so excited to visit the Finger Lakes for the first time. The house is very old and has amazing bones located on the Channel but across the Owasco fire dept on a very busy, noisy main road. The kitchen was not cleaned properly in additions to many other areas of the home. Carpets and furniture were dirty and full of stains. The pantoon boat was old and carpeted and full of bees and not fully fueled up as it should have been. Unfortunately the grand home is run down...

"We rented this property for a long overdue reunion with family. Everything was lovely. The hosts were terrific to work with. For our situation, having two bedrooms was wonderful. The kitchen and dining area face the lake, so coffee in the morning was our favorite place to gather. The location couldn’t be better if you want to venture out. We stayed in the winter, but we’d love to visit again in the summer. Thanks again for letting us stay with you! "

"This is our 4th girls weekend at Owasco Lake and the best house so far. It was very clean and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a bedroom for each person. Loved hanging out in the main room with the fireplace on. We did have one plumbing issue, but the owner was quick to get a plumber over and it was fixed quickly. Would definitely rent this house again, and the welcome basket was a lovely touch. "
