Mariposa is quite close to the village as resorts go. It was a great blend of luxury and proximity."

I didn't need to use the ne in the room I stayed in this time (cabin 4), though I could see that it hadn't been cleaned in some time. Possible leading to mold and dust build up in the filter. "Highly recommend! Hotels closer to the reef might not be as luxurious and comfortable; Hotels more luxurious won't be has as much marine life or as good for snorkel. This is def the best of both. Room as clean and beautiful as the photos show. We saw more varieties of fish snorkeling around the dock than going out for a snorkel tour. The Hol Chan marine reserve had better spot for snorkeling than the one near the island, so you can take tours somewhere else and just enjoy your time around the...
