"Room had mould around shower. No fan in room. (Very warm when stayed)."

"Paid hotel prices for hostel type service. We stayed 3 nights and twice our room didn’t get cleaned. Complained at reception who said they were busy with checking that day! They made el take all the towels etc I needed back up to my room. No apology. Happened again the next day after we’d been out all day. This time they did bring stuff up to our room but we had a full bin that needed emptying and wet towels piled up in the small bathroom/toilet. Apparently they do housekeeping up until 9pm but...

"Very small compact room with no window (which I knew when booking). Room had air conditioning and a skylight which did let a bit of light in. Shower was good but bed was really creaky and uncomfortable, very thin mattress so woke up with a bad back and neck every morning. Fine for a short stay but probably wouldn’t stay again."

"The design of the property artistically preserved the building's old exterior with a contemporary interior design. The staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly. Our room was well designed, clean and comfortable. Importantly there was ample light during the day and night. Beds were comfortable. I appreciated that there is a gym; although the space is small."

Room was just what we needed - spacious and with the small kitchenette we were able to have simple breakfasts and some other meals in when we wanted. Could have done without the fire alarm going off late one night and having to go stand on the street for 45 minutes until the fire brigade arrived but the alarm worked, so that’s the critical part anyway! And with three lifts, it didn’t take long to get all guests...

"Room was very basic, just a sink and a wall rack with some coat hangers on. There was a tv but I don’t really watch tv. Walls could’ve done with a coat of paint but the carpet was clean and the bedding also. Pretty much the cheapest I could find in the area and I was only there for one night so was perfectly adequate for my needs. Toilets and showers were in the halls of the hotel, not in room so if you’re fine with that, good. Don’t be expecting Premier Inn style in room amenities. A couple...

"Great location across from the train station. The room had good views and was quiet. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Room was clear. A/C didn't really work and it got very hot in our room."

"Excellent location and a very nice, clean room.It uses compact space concept but spacious, comfortable and modern. Lights, tv and temperature can be controlled digitally. Anything you need outside the room like usage of iron, beverages, water stations etc. just ask the staff. Staff are very helpful and will get you what you need or point you in the right direction."

"I booked 2 rooms for the night, check in was at 3pm , my son & his partner had to sit in our room until 4pm until their room was ready. Rooms were spotless on arrival, I can not fault them. We sat down in the bar area for a few hours before heading to bed, The toilets at the bar had no lights in the cubicles we had to take our phones in with us so we could use the torch , Breakfast was nice ."

"Great location just a block off the pedestrian only city centre walking areas. Really good for parking too - underground lot entered into from behind the hotel just be ready for those wicked switchbacks going from floor to floor. Rooms good, bar area very nice, strong breakfast with haggis and potato scones available and good."

"In all areas the quality was high – housekeeping, food & drink, facilities and customer service. The staff have been well trained and consistently ‘live’ the Cameron House brand. The welcome was amazing, we turned up having toured The Highlands for a numbers of days, we were a bit ragged and therefore apologetic. The guy at the door, with a twinkle in his eye said: ‘don’t worry kid we get all sorts here’ – we felt instantly at home. The only downside was The Clubhouse. We booked in for dinner...

"Great location, but I should have read the fine print! We booked a private room but it came with sharing a shower and WC facilities with other guests rooms. Our room was spatious and clean but the shared accomodations need more maintenance and cleaning. It was OK but not great."
