"Our stay at Creekside Hideaway could not have been better. Wonderful communication with our host and the property was even better than described. The house was spotless with ample towels in the updated bathroom. The sheets on the beds were high quality cotton with a cozy duvet and 4 pillows. The kitchen was modern with great touches like bottles of water in the fridge and coffee for the coffee machine. We were also appreciated that Nora ( the dog) was welcome. I would HIGHLY recommend this...

"Very disappointed, the layout of the hotel was boring, not relaxing, over priced, food was good but way too expensive, the serving staff were great, had to wait for over 1 hour, after 3 phone calls for a hairdryer, the resort does not overlook the ocean at all, the grounds were clean but not impressive at all. "Interesting historic hotel.. rooms clean, right on main street, so great location. Locals recommended the restaurant, but I may give it a pass!! Comfy bed that you melted in to. Large spacious rooms. You can hear other doors closing as it is an old building if your a light sleeper!!Would I go back.. possibly!?"

"The property was well located with a beautiful view of the bay. Parking was convenient. We did point out a couple of areas that needed special cleaning attention - baseboards in the bathroom were dirty. The mirror and glass desktop in the room had been cleaned with the wrong cleaner and so were all smeared. The facility is under new management with new cleaning staff and we were assured that this would be corrected. We would be happy to stay there again."

"We needed an accommodation relatively close to Blacks Harbor in order for us to travel to Grand Manan to visit family and TRUTH BE TOLD - this was the only accommodation available for our family of 5. We had a chaotic trip. We flew in from Alberta, one of our kids (we learned) is very susceptible to motion sickness... (its our first BIG family trip) there were challenges with our rental car. It was a tough travel day all around however!!! I am SO pleased that this was our first night...

"We booked Bear Mountain Lodge for one night, but wish we could’ve stayed for more! The owner was very welcoming and friendly. He sent detailed information for our arrival and it was quick and easy. The signs posted to the lodge were helpful and clear. The lodge and our room were very clean. Our room had a separate bathroom for our room (Deer Room) and it was fine by us. "Unfortunately, this did not qualify as a 5 star accommodation. It is a gorgeous , older home with beautiful gardens but amenities and support from staff was disappointing. Our room , quite “cozy” was lacking in supplies like tissues, shower cap, water bottles, extra towels, and it was dark with lights needing replacement. This could be a 5 star accommodation with more attention to detail and more staff present in site. Breakfast should def be included and not an extra charge!"

"Convenient place to stop for the night after crossing the border and before continuing on to my final destination. The staff have changed over, possibly due to a change from previous management, and are not nearly as pleasant as the previous owners/staff. Also, the appliances are a bit dated but it is not a big deal for only staying one night."

"It's a beautiful property and the pet friendly room we stayed in on the main floor was just renovated. The shower has great water pressure and the bed was so comfortable. There was a big common room, called the Tea Room, where we ate breakfast and were able to work for a couple of hours. It was just a short walk to the water and all the restaurants.
