"Stayed at the Amsterdam Hotel for two nights to attend a friends engagement party. Our room was very clean and orderly. Patricio who works at the front desk warmly greeted us and explained all of the hotel amenities and also made really good recommendations about the best places to go for dinner. Overall our stay was great and I would not hesitate coming back here again in future."

"The check-in/check-out process was quick and easy. The front desk staff were personable and resourceful. I was asking questions about neighborhood attractions and dining options. The room was clean and in good condition. The only issue that I had with the room was that the water didn’t drain immediately after the shower. I got in the shower directly after my husband and the water was up to my ankles. Otherwise, it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel."

"Family of three on July 4th weekend. The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff were very helpfully and pleasant. I want to shot out “Jordan” the front desk person. She made me feel welcome even in a very busy lobby during check in. Stayed in RM 1515. Nice view. I was able to see and hear the church belts on Sunday morning. Also able to see a little fire works. I visited the 19th floor bar. Very lively and inviting. Seating limited but nice place to see the fireworks eat and have a drink. Staff were friendly. Drinks reasonably priced. Really good place to stay if you are visiting the Yale University campus. Walking distances. The area is a little seedy. Be aware of your surroundings. Good area for eateries and a little party activities. When booking get the Deluxe Room WiFi is included. Breakfast is from 6:30-11:30am on Saturday and Sunday. Buffet style. Wished they stayed open longer on Sunday. Con - Parking key didn’t work. Went to front desk and they said you have put the room key in a certain place on the keyboard. I wish they would have just reprogrammed the key card because we continued to have issues. Parking is 25.00+tax a day. You can also park on the street and pay the meter."

"Here's a more polished and polite review: The hotel was on the expensive side, but I appreciated that complimentary coffee was available 24 hours a day and that parking was included in the room rate. My room was spacious and comfortable overall. One issue I noticed was that the mattress seemed uneven, with one side higher than the other. In my opinion, it may be time for it to be replaced. The breakfast was adequate, but the selection was somewhat limited. There was no yogurt available, and the only egg option was hard-boiled eggs; scrambled eggs would have been a nice addition. Overall, my stay was pleasant."
