"Amazing stay with top-notch staff and incredible food!
My family and I had an amazing stay at RIU Ocho Rios! The resort overall is wonderful, but what truly made our trip unforgettable was the staff.
A special shoutout to Anthony—he went above and beyond for us every day! He made sure my kids and I always got our fix of jerk chicken, which was absolutely delicious. Almost every staff member we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and attentive.
If I had to offer a couple of constructive notes for improvement:
Swim-up Bar: While the bartenders at the swim-up bar did serve us right before closing, you could visibly tell they weren't too happy about it. A little extra friendliness towards the end of the shift would make a big difference!
Entertainment/Music: We would have loved to hear a lot more local flavor—more reggae, dancehall, and soca played around the resort to really lean into the Jamaican vibe.
That being said, these were minor details in an otherwise incredible vacation. We had a fantastic time, felt so well taken care of, and would definitely recommend RIU Ocho Rios to families looking for a great getaway!
