"For the most part everything was great at the hotel. The service and friendliness of the staff. The only thing that we weren’t happy with was the added 18% service charge added to every order or service used at the hotel that went to the “staff’s” salaries. Granted this was explained to us when ordering or requesting a service, but to add that much on already expensive food and services was a bit much. Also, as part of the amenities described on Expedia for the hotel, it stated they provided limo/car service. No we did not expect a limo but when we requested shuttle transportation from and to the airport, they said they did not provide the service and we needed to use the taxi service, which in and of itself was at least $40 to start. Besides those complaints, the hotel room was more ample than we expected. The staff were very friendly and always provided the greeting of the day with a smile. Something rarely seen these days."

"Loved the direct access to the beach. Cabanas are limited as everyone wants them…have to reserve at 6am to get one. Beach activities are next door, great for those who love water sports, etc. Buffet was great! Restaurants’ quality is ok… wish the food choices would have been greater!!! Because of the high demand for restaurant seating, staff is a little overwhelmed and thus service is suffering."

"Great location. Great amenities. Great staff. My only negative was the kitchenette only came with 4 glasses and 4 cups and a few disposable plates and cutlery. I thought that wasn't clear in the listing. Also island view did have some road noise at night."

Secrets Baby Beach Aruba Adults Only

"Overall, we had a great stay at Secrets Baby Beach Aruba. The resort is beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and Baby Beach itself is probably the biggest highlight. There are around six or seven restaurants at the resort. Food-wise, it was a little hit or miss for us. We did not enjoy the Italian restaurant or the Asian Fusion restaurant with hibachi, but the rest were very good. Breakfast was excellent, and we also really enjoyed the buffet for lunch. Tierra, especially for the steak options, was great, and Oceana was another one of our favorites. One thing we really did not like was how early the pool area shuts down. The two swim-up/pool bars close at 6:00 PM, and the pool itself closes at 7:00 PM. For an adults-only all-inclusive resort, that felt way too early. After that, the bar options are pretty limited. There is a bar near the restaurants, another upstairs by the lobby, and the nightclub, which was usually pretty empty during our stay. I definitely think the resort could use more nightlife and later pool/bar hours. Baby Beach, however, is fantastic. The water is extremely calm because the lagoon and reef help protect it from the ocean waves. You can swim, relax, or even sit in a chair right at the edge of the water. The calm water would also be great for families with small children, even though Secrets itself is currently an adults-only resort. We heard they are building another resort nearby that will be family-friendly."
