"The room was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. The hotel is luxurious. Two beautiful pools and very good food. The views are stunning over the ocean. The beach is not suitable for swimming due to heavy surf and a strong side current but Talpe beach a 1.5k walk or tuk-tuk away has a safe beach behind a reef. "

"This place was heavenly. Close enough to Fort for tuk-tuk far enough a way for a lovely peaceful space. Pool area was lovely. Rooms spacious and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast was also perfect and served up to 11.30 They didn't offer dinner but that was no problem as we were able to order Uber eats and they gave us plates Wonderful massages too A lovely chilled oasis "

"The staff went above and beyond. It was my girlfriends 30th birthday and while I was in the UK they helped to get things organised and things didn’t change once we got here. The best treatment, I could see the staff did this across the board for everyone at the hotel. They really couldn’t have helped more if they tried, from the manager, to the reception staff, bar staff and everybody else. The hotel itself was unbelievably beautiful and felt very luxurious. The staff were so attentive and kind. The breakfast was my favorite I’ve ever had at a hotel! "At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."
