CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Welcome to SunDestin Beach Resort where you’ll find your dream vacation rental just steps from the sugar-white sand and emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. At SunDestin, enjoy many on-site amenities like a newly renovated outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool, heated seasonally. Keep up with your fitness goals in the on-site fitness facility and then relax in the sauna or steam room.  SunDestin offers over 3,000 sq. ft. of newly renovated meeting space, making it the perfect venue for your destination wedding, meeting or family reunion. Seasonal amenities include outdoor tiki bar as well as beach chair and umbrella rentals (for an additional fee) to make relaxing on the beach easy and comfortable. The Scenic Stays crew is the on-site management team and is available to help you at our 24-hours front desk.

SunDestin unit 406 is a one bedroom unit with one full bath and one half bath. With gulf front views from the living room, and plenty of seating to accommodate the whole family, enjoy the sound of the waves while relaxing and watching a movie after a long day at the beach. Complimentary DVD rentals can be found in the lobby. Whip up a light bite or a full meal in the fully stocked kitchen and make sure to stock the cabinets and fridge with plenty of cold drinks and snacks to keep you fueled while enjoying days spent enjoying the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.

With comfortable sleeping arrangements for six people, when you’re ready to retire for the night, the master bedroom invites you to a comfortable king size bed. Twin bunks can be found in the hallway, and an additional two people can comfortably sleep on the queen sofa sleeper in the spacious living room.

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

Sundestin is conveniently located in the heart of Destin. Enjoy shopping at The Destin Commons, located just minutes away and featuring stores like, The Bass Pro Shop, H&M, Lush, Belk and more. Find adventure at the Harborwalk Village with a sunset dolphin cruise or a deep-sea fishing excursion. Tasty bites, delicious libations and sweet treats can also be found throughout the Harborwalk Village. Plus, just across the street from SunDestin, you’ll find waterpark thrills and more at Big Kahuna’s. We cannot wait to welcome you to SunDestin Beach Resort.

Nice accommodations

This room is great for one couple, a huge king bed in bedroom and a bunk bed in the hall …. If you want to bring 2 kids. This unit also has a refrigerator , stove/oven , sink and dishwasher. The full bathroom( in the hall) is connected to a half bath ( off the bedroom) and is a total walkthrough from bedroom to hall. This unit overlooks the outdoor pool and walkway to the beach. You are high enough to see the whole beach. I definitely recommend this room.

Amazing -- right on the beach!

A great spot right on the beach. Easy distance from grocery stores and other activities and shopping. A delightful spot to spend a week. Kitchen was well appointed with everything you need for family meals. Highly recommend.

45 wedding anniversary and family vacay

We were celebrating 45 years of marriage. Love this place! Our son and his wife stayed here 22 years ago on their honeymoon and they loved it. Check in was easy, staff was friendly and professional. Condo was neat and clean. Our son and his family stayed in the building too making it easy to spend time with them. Wonderful, relaxing stay. Hope we can come back every year!

Excellent location, very clean, wonderful king bed, very good shower and everything very clean and maintained. Only problem was the wifi connection which was very bad and slow. But that didn't interfere with our wonderful stay. I will definitely come back.

Condo is fine. Just wish it had a broom or small vacuum for the floors. I hated the feeling of sand all the time. Great location and the service was great. Having access to the store in the lobby was a life saver. Linens on the bed could have been better.

A/C noise made sleeping difficult

Absolutely would not stay in this condo again due to the fact the air conditioning unit is located in a box in the corner of the bedroom and every time in turns on it makes a loud roaring noise that wakes you up. It is not just a light noise, it is an obnoxious roaring noise. The unit was clean and pretty good shape. The staff was nice and the premises was kept up pretty good.

Not impressed

The property needs a good cleaning which’ is a shame because it’s beautiful location. Gift shop smelled like a smoke shop, our room had a funky odor I can even describe. I went down looking to tell front desk of our concerns and they really were disinterested in helping or rectifying my issues and looking more to do check-ins. I’m glad it was only a short stay. Learned my lesson on this property !!

Pool shut/Parking lot was an issue. This should have been communicated prior to check in but the mattress was almost a deal breaker. Ive slept on better sleeping bags than that terrible mattress. Beach door wouldn't lock and we have a 3 yr old. Regular door would clasp but you had to force it. Chain lock on regular door was just flopping around and useless. Bathrooms were tiny tiny. Kitchen was tiny tiny. Would never entertain going back here to Sundestin. Needs renovated badly.

Great Location

Unit was just ok. Annoying issues with sand on floor even when we checked in. A few throw rugs would have been nice especially in bathrooms. Doors to all the rooms including patio did not lock properly. WiFi did not work in this unit had to connect to another unit’s which was very slow couldn’t stream any movies. Spent about 60 min figuring out how to get tv display out of floor promo mode. Fixed it so next guests won’t be inconvenienced by it. Garage disposal didn’t work but was promptly fixed. Toilet was continuously running not as bad after their attempt to repair. Uncomfortable beds with paper thin pillows. But with all that Great location with awesome view and reasonable price. Staff was great. Would definitely vacation again in SunDestin, but just not in this unit.

Needs improvement

There were little bugs crawling all over the stove, countertops, and trash/pantry area. I called the front desk night 1 and they said someone would come by and spray the next morning but not to worry? When I tried to follow up the next afternoon, our room phone wasn’t working. Still don’t know if they came by and sprayed and with little ones I can’t stand in line for minutes long so I had to suck it up and cook with little ant-looking bugs crawling around and keep food only on the glass table or fridge. There was rust in the shower, paint falling off the cabinetry, smoke detector alarms going off all day (probably batteries are dead), a VERY loud, bomb-sounding AC unit waking up even the heaviest sleeper (me), and a brown stained sleeper sofa in our room. Next, the trash chute closest to us is out of service so the next one is by 418 (the other end of the floor). I found bags of trash laying around on my way to the chute probably from people who don’t want to walk far. Then, the website is not very obvious about the fact that the outdoor pool is under renovation through July. So the indoor pool (small square) is full of people and the water looked cloudy every day and the chlorine smell was so intense my 2yr old’s eyes were beet red. Limit parking available on site and the next lot is across the street. The staff told us towing is not enforceable. Last, the beach bar was closed the whole time but the indoor bar is open. hygiene are your biggest concerns like it was for us
