"This was my fifth stay at the Best Western in Easton. I was sad to discover that since my last visit several months ago, the hotel has started using very strong scented products for cleaning and/or air freshening. I’ve kept coming back because I love the rooms, the staff, the hot breakfast and free bottles of water. The lobby is perfect for me: a small business area, snack shop, seating, tastefully decorated. But I have asthma. Seriously, I thought I’d found a place I could breathe in. But this time, from the lobby to the elevator, to the hall, and (darn) in the room, the scent was really strong. In the room, I sat for about 15 minutes before breathing became uncomfortable. So I grabbed a damp washcloth and scrubbed the table and nightstand until the washcloth stank. It helped, but even still, when I got home and unpacked, my pajamas were saturated with this scent. Even at breakfast, I happened to be standing at the coffee counter when staff came through and wiped down. That same perfume. Guys, please please please go back to the cleaning products you used before, or at least block off a section of rooms that are neutrally scented. I promise it’s not just me. This new stuff is toxic."
