Koolbardi is a beautifully appointed cottage right in the heart of Denmark. The little garden was perfect for the kids, the rooms were comfortable and light filled. Would definitely stay again
We both had a really great relaxing stay at Koolbardi Cottage. We really appreciated the fire being ready to light on arrival.
The house was perfect and loved all the unique/antique furniture.
It was only a 3 minute walk to town and a great location close to coffee shops and cafes.
Would love to come back here again soon.
Property is lovely but the place is listed as dog friendly but there is no fenced area so animals are in house or on leash all times and property is close to main roads. Does take away some of the relaxation as you can't sit on deck enjoy a bbq without worrying where your pet is
The situation, cleanliness and facilities of the cottage make it a firm favorite with us. Walking to town for shopping or a meal is a winner. Its our ninth stay with South Coast Escapes and second in this cottage . A feature is always an exceptional standard of prepardness of the accomodation and willingness to help. Lookforward to staying again in the new year ! Many Thanks .
Warm and cosy cottage in the centre of town. Clean, welcoming and everything you need. Comfortable beds and all you need to relax.
Really enjoyed the large decking overlooking town.
We had an amazing holiday. Lovely town, great coastline and wonderful vineyards.
Lits to do locally and a little further afield.
We will definitely be back.
Lovely house good location. House was very tidy. Had all that you needed and appliances were easy to use. Loved the online guide was great! Only thing would be to have another pedestal fan as it got a bit suffering in 2 rooms without ceiling fan.
It's very central but quiet - an ideal but rare combination. We liked the two verandahs, the local birdlife, the citrus bushes, the white and wooden decor, the retro-style furniture, a good selection of books and DVDs, comfortable beds, the big shower cubicle, the open-plan central area, and the general feeling of space. It was great to have plenty of room for cars. We had no problems for the three weeks of our holiday and would choose the same house again if we return.

Central and Quiet
This was our second three-week March stay in Koolbardi, since it fits our needs so well. It's only two minutes downhill to the shops and activities of Strickland Street but was very peaceful - with the museum and arts club across the road. There's a driveway and carport at the back and trees and bushes around it (lemons, limes and figs ripening while we were there; olives on the way). Also a raised terrace, BBQ, outdoor dining table and chairs and good outdoor lighting. Inside there's a huge open-plan area with a wood-burning stove (lots of wood available in the outdoor store, but we didn't use this) and very attractive darkwood floor. Beds were very comfortable, shower worked well, kitchen was well-equipped (we borrowed a salad-spinner from our family, that was all), and the whole place is light, cool in hot weather and has a marvellous ambience about it. We were very happy there and might even be back a third time... :-)
This cottage is quaint/quirky and very clean and tidy with a lovely new bathroom and kitchen and The beds are sooo comfortable. It’s right in the heart of the town centre but very peaceful and quiet. We would stay here again, we loved our stay at Koolbardi Cottage.
A charming cottage that retains many original features ( beautiful wooden floors throughout). Perfect for using as a base to explore the area. We particularly enjoyed the following: relaxing on the verandah after a day out, using the family games supplied in the lounge (Articulate with cards from the 1980s was brilliant with our teenagers!), good hot water system (4 of us could easily shower every day without running out), plenty of space for bike/surf storage etc. and leaving the car and just walking into the town for groceries & coffee. We were going to bring our dog but had second thoughts after seeing the note about no fence. We are really glad we didn't bring him as he is a mid size dog who loves to roam around outside and we would not have been able to keep an eye on him very easily. No dishwasher which we were very happy about as it meant our children tidied up and washed up! The kitchen is lovely without it and has everything else you could need. I would recommend this property and would happily come back again.
Koolbardi Cottage is a beautiful home. Weather was cold and wet but the wood fire kept the house very cosy. Beds and pillows really comfortable. House is walking distance from shops and a short drive to the beautiful Denmark beaches. Everything you need supplied. Most enjoyable 5 night stay. Thank you
The cottage was thoughtfully renovated, retaining many original features and most of the furniture was vintage.
Beautiful hardwood floors, surfaces and cabinets.
There were shady places to relax on the verandah all day to appreciate the olive, citrus and fig trees, birds and beautiful evening light.
Location is a few minutes walk from the centre of Denmark town.
Anyone who grew up in the rural South West would appreciate this house.
