The bird house has been a popular, cozy cabin for many guests over the years. It recently underwent a redesign including new furnishings, paint, bedding and more; all those little touches to make your stay a luxurious experience with a retro feel.

Main floor:
Though the front door you will find a cozy living space with a TV, videos and a wood stove that will heat the cabin on even the coldest night. The well-appointed kitchen will please the chef in the group. Kids can sit on the counter stools while you cook with a connected dining room for sharing meals. A big laundry room doubles as a place for you to put all your gear from your mountain adventures.
Pull your vehicle in and plug it in if needed! Make your way onto the spacious deck complete with dining set and propane BBQ. The large hot tub sits under cover behind a privacy fence.
Upper Floor:
You will find a private, cozy bedroom with a Queen size bed. To the left past the reading alcove, a loft space has two built in Twin XL beds perfect for your children, but large enough to be comfortable for any adult. The loft is also stocked with games and has plenty of space for luggage.
Location:
Birdhouse is ideally located just 25 minutes from Artist Point at Mount Baker and 40 minutes from Bellingham. Only 2 hours from Seattle and 1 hour from Vancouver, this mountain retreat offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Refresh and rejuvenate in the fresh mountain air, explore scenic hiking trails, admire wildflowers, and unwind in the peaceful beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Important Notes:
Nature: This home is located in a rainforest near the base of a mountain. We have critters both large and small that we share the land with. From Ants to bats, mice and raccoons to Bears and Bobcats, we do everything possible to keep them outside. Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as it looks like a free meal for the wildlife.
Technology:WiFI and Cellular Service: Due to the remote location, cable TV, cellular service, and high-speed internet are not available. The home has free WIFI and a smart TV for streaming your favorite subscription channels. There's also cell phone service near Mt Baker ski area. Wi-Fi is DSL and ranges between 4-9 mbps depending on the time of day and how many people are online. **Internet service in the Mt. Baker area experiences intermittent outages and these circumstances are beyond our control. Our area is limited to one service provider and we appreciate your understanding with the following policy: We are unable to offer a refund for accommodations based on WIFI outages, speed or disruptions.
Weather: The mountains provide us with so much to offer, but predictable weather is not one of them. Please be prepared for all types of severe weather from excess heat in the summer to heavy rains in the Spring & Fall and Snow and Ice in the winter. It is highly recommended that you bring a 4-wheel or All wheel drive vehicle in the winter. Due to the potential harsh weather, power outages and internet outages happen from time to time and are out of our control. We do not issue any refunds for loss of power or internet. Please prepare for all types of weather when visiting the mountains.
Groceries: Large grocery runs should be done in Bellingham (about 45 min away). There are a handful of small mom and pop grocery stops along Mt Baker Highway and we are happy to make recommendations. Restaurants are extremely limited and are not always open during the slower seasons. Please come prepared with provisions.
Gated Community / HOA: About Snowline Community Club
Snowline is a private gated community that borders the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and is one of the closest communities to the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The community has numerous hiking trails both to Glacier and to the Nooksack River, a children's playground and kickball field.
The HOA requires gate cards for guest access, has rules for quiet hours, leash laws and a no campfire policy. Parking is limited to the vehicles that fit in the driveway perpendicular to the road.
**Please note that your rental may have limited parking availability. Carpooling may be required. Parking is not permitted on roads within the Snowline, Mt Baker Rim, and Snowater Community. Any fines accrued by the HOA in regards to parking violations are the responsibility of the renter.**
Luxury Getaways is required to register ALL vehicles that will be present on the property during your stay.
*Please be advised that effective 10/01/2022, The Snowline community amenities ; which include the swimming pool, clubhouse, sports courts, etc. are no longer available for Guests use. We Thank you for your cooperation
