Minecart Motor Lodge

8/10 Good

"The bed was clean, the bathroom sink, toilet, and shower were clean. The bed and pillows are ok. The window in the bathroom was basically falling out of the hole. The floors were not clean. It smelled heavily of Pinesol but I wonder if an old mop/mop head was used or the floors weren’t cleaned. Not sure. 3 large spiders in the bathroom when we got there. Stingy with towels/rags/blankets-there was 1 for each person. The breakfast was a grab and go-Like a couple choices of granola bars, cheese sticks, a couple yogurts… some coffee. This hotel was ok. Not amazing, not bad."

Montrose Valley Lodge

8/10 Good

"The hotel was clean, but it does need renovated. Everything worked, however, and the staff was fantastic. Breakfast was basic but good. The location was great. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. The room had a huge TV, which was much larger than most hotel rooms, so that was nice. I would stay there again. The price was $125 a night. I think it probably should have been about $90, considering the need for an update. Overall, it was good and I think other hotels in Montrose were much more expensive."

Honey Rock Landing

10/10 Excellent

"My family and I had an amazing stay at Honey Rock Landing! This place is truly one of a kind. Staying in a cave and being able to look up at the stars made the entire experience feel incredibly unique and memorable. The farm-to-table cuisine was fantastic and made the stay even more special. We also loved having access to the boathouse and spending time paddle boarding on the pond. The natural-built swimming pool was another highlight—such a cool experience! Honey Rock Landing is so much more than just a place to stay. It’s an experience our family will remember for a long time. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway!"
