"I cannot say enough about how good My stay was. Staff were by far the best I have ever seen. Hotel and the room were spotless. Every Morning I had a traditional Irish Breakfast which was delicious. Unfortunately, there was Heatwave when I arrived 30c which even for an American from New Jersey is Hot. I would have been and Idiot If I had expected air conditioning due to the fact temps like that are extremally rare and if they happen at all it would only be a few days every summer. But they did...

"Location good - short walk to everything.
One elevator was broken while we were there which led to long waits and crowded elevators.
The cooling/airconditioning did not work very well in the room - and it was extremely hot. Made the night we stayed there a fairly bad sleep.
Overall - would likely stay elsewhere next time."

"This is a gem of a find. Beautifully fitted out and managed with exceptional care. The facilities in the room and common parts are simply great and nothing was too much trouble. Mitchelstown has much to offer but Birdies is above and beyond."
