"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. The location was perfect for a day trip to nearby Oban, which should not be missed, particularly for the seafood and Oban Distillery tour. Thank you Matthew for the opportunity to stay; we will long...

"We enjoyed use of kitchen /dining space, which included tea, coffee, and proper dishes and utensils. We could store extra food in the refrigerator. The warming closet to hang up wet clothes was amazing. Bed was very comfortable. View of lake was lovely. Host was attentive. Great stepping off point for hiking."

"The darling couple who own and run the B&B are extremely delightful. Our hostess started us off in the morning with a delightful breakfast, good cup of coffee and good advice or directions to our days activities. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves. "An amazing space to just be & chill out. B & B with decking, area with seating , cosy log cabin & spacious garden area overlooking tranquil loch. Seals can be seen bobbing about & red squirrels are a frequent visitor to the garden. The hosts are exceptionally welcoming and the breakfast includes croissants, fresh fruit & Loch Fyne smoked salmon.
The rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean.

"Very good location and beautiful vue to the lack. Breakfast is very, very basic . Big downside, time for breakfast (from 8 to 9) which is quite inconvenient if you are relaxing on holidays, and specially when there are no other places close by. Staff is friendly and helpful."
"Had a nice 1 night stay in the Brander Lodge Hotel whilst enjoying the local area. Parts of the hotel could do with some tlc, but the breakfast room, dining room and bar area were lovely and the food was great. We liked the gardens with the river at the bottom. Bedroom clean and comfy. Great hotel for the price. We will go back."
"The views were very beautiful as was the decor throughout and the room (deluxe king room) was huge. The lamb in the restaurant was the best meal of my life. 10/10"
"The room had everything we needed, it was quaint & convenient. The kitchen / breakfast setup was perfect for doing our own cooking and purchasing just what we needed - a few eggs. I look forward to staying again the next time I’m in Oban!"
"I had a very comfortable stay (only for one night due to walking the Rob Roy Way) at Killin Hotel. The view is stunning, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious!"
"This hotel was top-notch on every level. The staff was welcoming and helpful at every aspect of our stay. The restaurant was amazing and I would recommend eating here more than any other place in town, and that is not to discredit any other establishment...it's just that great!"
