Hotel heeft andere naam

Bij aankomst bleek ik niet ingecheckt te zijn en ook zou er niet betaald zijn. Na een lange reis ben ik alleen maar druk geweest mmet regelen. Bleek dat het hotel van naam veranderd was. Uiteindelijk is het goed gekomen.

Pas très pro...

Je suis arrivé tard dans la nuit dans cet hôtel dans un quartier quelconque de Dakar. Un gardien très gentil (mais ne parlant pas français) pour l’accueil, mais qui n’a pas la clef ni le numéro de ma chambre ! La responsable est intervenu en 10/15 mn et m’a fourni très gentillement une chambre plus grande, certes, mais sans wifi ni chaînes de TV ! PDJ apporté dans ma chambre par une femme de chambre très aimable. Tout le monde est gentil mais ça manque cependant de professionnalisme.

friendly staff; nice area

hotel is in a nice area of dakar. room basic but comfortable. room looks onto another apartment's courtyard, so not much of a view--could be mildly claustrophobic if you were going to be in room for extended period. during my stay, TV was being repaired, so friendly staff said I could switch to different room, but I didn't bother changing rooms. Water was out for several hours, but this was a problem in whole neighbourhood that day, and staff brought in a big 20 L jug of water for bathing. Staff let me store luggage there after checkout for rest of the day. To find this place, ask taxi to drive you to "univerisity du sahel" and then you are just a few blocks away--see google maps or similar.
