very clean and comfortable cabin. perfect size for my wife and I plus our 14lb puppy. only 8mins from Custer. beds were clean and comfortable. bathroom was clean and efficient. kitchenette worked well. oh, was hot in SD this weekend (95-100F). the AC was perfect... I gave the cabin and experience a 5/5.

Spotlessly clean, plenty of room to move around..honestly felt more like a luxury cabin than a rustic cabin. AC was great. kitchen so clean. Even the towels were luxurious. This cabin is 4 miles from Custer, about 10 miles to Jewel Cave and about 18 minutes to Wind Cave, probably 45 minutes to Mt Rushmore.

The property was clean and the bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was good. It was pet friendly. It was also quiet. I would have liked some hangers, even though it was styled as cabins, but clothes hangers would have been convenient. Also, if there would’ve been a teapot or a way to cook a simple meal since the restaurants we’re out of the way and this is a cabin after all, it would have probably made the experience excellent. Otherwise, the pond at the back was really nice. I saw some hot air balloons near the hills one morning. There were lots of birds which I really love.

Outside was excellent the pond, Trees, fire pit all great features. The main room had no door so no privacy. The Towels provided were Great also like the coffee pot and coffee Our son and daughter in-law rented cabin 5 which was much better than ours. ie floor plan and privacy. Overall I may be being a little picky because we did have a Great time. If we stay again we are renting cabin 5.

The cabin was really cute. Homey and quaint. A true log cabin. There was a pond behind it and trees to separate us from the cabin next door. Beds were good, and the kitchen had coffee fixings and a refrigerator. Loved the fire ring and provided wood overlooking the small pond, even though we didn’t get to use it because of the dry conditions. My only complaint, and it is the same with all properties, is that you don’t get a true perspective of the area around the cabins. Especially in more remote places, where google earth isn't that helpful. I wanted a cabin in the woods, or other remote area. From the pictures it looks that way. However, it is right off a main road and not really remote. However, it isn’t in a parking lot, nor it is near a highway. That happens more times, than not, when I have to pick a cabin in someplace I have never been. Wish we could go back to real, accurate pictures like we used to get.
