Cozy Creekside Cottage

  • ** COVID-19 UPDATE**
    We are taking measures to ensure the safety of our guests. We have changed our check out time to accommodate the extra cleaning and sanitizing we are doing according to the VRBO and CDC guidelines.

    This Creekside cottage located just slightly off the beaten path from downtown Custer where you can find many restaurants exclusive to The Black Hills! Located only a block off the main street and 2 blocks from the grocery store. With a large partially fenced yard and French Creek Park, this makes it the perfect stay for a family, or secluded enough for “just the two of us”. With access to free WiFi, TV, and fully furnished including a stove, refrigerator, kitchen utensils and silverware and washer/dryer it is your new home away from home! Outside of the house there is a deck equipped with a table and chairs, a grill and a gas fireplace perfect for evenings outdoors.
    One full bathroom, 2 bedrooms, 1 extra room with bunk beds for extra sleeping, (up to 7 total) This 740 sq ft space is well set up for a comfortable vacation! Bedding includes: 1 queen, 1 bunk bed with a full bed on bottom and twin on top, 1 bunk with 2 single beds,. I will supply all linens and towels. I will also supply the initial supply of paper products, shampoo, soaps, laundry soap, and trash bags.
    Ecobee thermostat with motion sensors in kitchen, bedroom and living room. **motion sensors strictly used to help with even and thorough heating for your comfort in the home. **

    If Cozy Creekside Cottage does not look like it will meet your vacationing needs check out Tranquil Trailside. Trailside is 5 miles out of town and the spacious 1.7 acre yard backs up to the Mickelson Trail. Trailside has 3 full bedrooms, 2 baths and could sleep 10. Great location - easy walk to restaurants and stores in Custer. Short drive time to Custer State Park, Wind and Jewel Cave. We appreciated there were plenty of towels and other toiletries for a larger group.

This was our first visit to Custer and this house was just what we needed! It was very clean and in a safe quiet area within walking distance from restaurants and shopping. The house is located right next to a park! The host provided such great extras such as laundry detergent, coffee, lots of bath supplies, and wonderful comfy blankets to snuggle on the couch! We loved it here and would definitely stay again!

We loved the cozy creekside cabin! It was conveniently located within walking distance to downtown. There was plenty of room for my family of 4. We loved the pretty yard and the porch with the fireplace. It was well-stocked with essentials that really helped make our stay extra comfortable. Would stay again!

Overall an excellent, cozy place to stay! Upon arrival we were very pleased with how clean the place was. Normally when we stay at a place the first thing we feel we have to do is clean. Not this place, it was notably clean. The location was perfect. Tucked in next to a nice park and just a quick walk across the footbridge and you have access to most everything you want without having to jump in a vehicle. We loved exploring Custer and trying the variety of restaurants. We found the cottage well equipped with most everything needed for a stay. Everything was in good repair and we felt right at home. The gas fireplace on the deck was a nice touch, we enjoyed that one cool evening we decided to stay in rather than dining out. I would definitely recommend staying here while visiting Custer. It's close to everything in town and all the things to do in the area. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area in the future!

We loved our stay at this cottage in Custer. It was walking distance from the downtown, but still set back from the hustle and bustle so that the location was quiet. We even had deer in our yard! Our two boys, 12 and 9, loved having their own rooms and getting to choose the top or bottom bunk, and it was so nice to have access to laundry and a grocery store just 2 minutes away. Overall, this was a wonderful home base for our time in the Black Hills, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Perfect location to feel a but secluded yet able to walk to town. Great spot to travel to different sites throughout our stay. We would definitely stay agin.

The cabin located next to downtown Custer was perfect for us. It’s just a short drive to Needles Highway, Wildlife Loop, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore and the 1880 Train. We drove a little further to see the unique Badlands, which was worth it! The restaurant/bar at Custer Beacon was literally right across the bridge from the house. We enjoyed their food and drinks with a lively atmosphere of entertainment. This cabin is clean, comfortable, and had everything our family of four needed. The host was also wonderful. So, please don’t hesitate on booking this cute gem of a cabin!

South Dakota trip

We had a great time at this cute cottage. The kids loves the deer in the mornings and the park. We would definitely stay again!

Great vacation

It was the perfect location and setup for our buffalo roundup vacation and time with family. the deck and fireplace was a great space to relax in the evening and the house was well equipped with everything we needed.

Great Location

Property is in a great location. Lots of space for a family to stay and close to many amenities. The host was very responsive when we had questions and everything was very clean and comfortable.

Great location.

This is the perfect place to stay in Custer. Nice secluded house next to park and trails. Within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. I would stay here again.

Everything worked very well for our group of 3 adults. We were out most days seeing the area, and this was a comfortable place to return to, walk a couple of blocks to dinner, and get ready for the next day.

Great home base for Black Hills adventures

The creekside cabin is a lovely spot for family. Cozy decor and thoughtful touches throughout make for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the ability to relax on the deck while the kids enjoyed the playground. Cooking at home kept our costs lower and we enjoyed walking into town for treats. This is the perfect spot from which to enjoy Custer State Park, Wind Cave, and more.

Cozy cabin

Was very nice place to stay. Did get a little hot at night in the bedrooms but it was very hot outside. Walking distance from main street so we didn't have to drive to go downtown. Little park for the kids right there as well.

Wonderful cabin in a quiet location still close to downtown. The cabin in fairly small, but laid out very well and our family of six never felt cramped. The property was very clean and the hosts were easy to communicate with. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with the essentials. The kids loved the playground next door

Perfect location

Cute little cottage with the perfect location! Close enough that Main Street Custer is within walking distance, but just enough removed from the main drag that it felt quiet and safe. Playground next door was a big bonus for the kids. House was clean and comfy.

Black Hills Adventure

We found Cozy Creekside Cottage to be a wonderful place to stay for our trip to the Black Hills. The cottage provided lots of amenities and everything we needed was there. The cottage was clean and neat and we especially enjoyed using the gas fire pit out on the deck in the evening. I can highly recommend Cozy Creekside Cottage for anyone looking for a cozy place to stay for their Black Hills adventure!

Cozy and Quiet

Custer was the perfect spot for us to see all the things the Black Hills has to offer. The cozy cabin was just the right size and had all the things we needed to cook, relax, and play. Favorite pieces of the house: the playground, the throw blankets, oscillating fan in each bedroom, the grill and carport. Top notch stay!

SD road trip

We planned a short stay in a few different towns as we drove across South Dakota, ending in Custer. This cottage was perfect for our two night stay and it was a short distance from everything we planned to see. The home had all the little things that we needed but didn’t pack for a road trip.
