"This is our preferred stay when visiting the area, repeat visits and the staff is consistently helpful and polite, place is consistently clean. Breakfast was minimal this time, but it still suited us. Husband was happy with the ac, but I would have preferred a cooler output."
"As a pet friendly place, it’s a good location for other activities in the area. We did not use the dock much, nor the pontoon boat, but both were available. The host allowed our family to stay overnight during a thunderstorm. That was above and beyond expectations and very much appreciated!"
"Inside was very well done. Clean and open living room and kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. Comfortable beds. “Speakeasy”aspect was no interest to us. We booked because location was perfect for us. Had to message hosts a couple times in the week we were there. And they responded quickly"
"Stay was decent. First 2 front desk people I encountered were really nice. Rooms kind of smelled musty as other reviews mention but smell eventually went away. They have breakfast but wish they had fresh fruit. I requested late check out with Julie for noon and she even checked with housekeeping. There were no problems then. Come Sunday morning I get a phone call from an older gentleman saying check out is at 11am. I kindly told him I did request late check out. His response, "You need to request that with the person on staff" Mind you, I spoke to Julie at 10am Friday morning. I told him I did request late checkout with someone and instead of hearing what I said, he just repeated the same thing. Rude but I didn't let that ruin my trip. I was tempted to make my review a 3 star review but I did have a decent time here. Checked out Thorpedo Restaurant within walking distance. Very good food and love their hot sauce."
