Although they don’t serve food in the evening, they were very accommodating, being very happy for us to bring a takeaway back to the dinning room to eat there. "A modern bathroom in a 14th century hotel was definitely not expected. WiFi worked in the room. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast provided a good selection and the cooked items were really good. Sunday lunch was close to home made with plenty of different vegetables. Will definitely return!"

"An excellent freshly made hot and filling breakfast. The cafe area was a welcome rest stop with a wide choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy access to the beach, railway station and town gave plenty to do."

"Really old place steeped in history but spotlessly clean with mod cons. Friendly staff, all with warm welcomes from reception, bar, restaurant, breakfast and housekeeping - a credit to the hotel. We had a Finest double room with private courtyard garden, comfy armchairs, double wardrobe, huge bathroom and quality linen and towels. Lots of small bar areas keeping it cosy and quirky. Parking is an issue because of it's great location in the heart of this medieval village and being a 15th century building, no doubt the horse and carriage back in the day had no problems! But we managed to park a100 yards down the road in the public car park with reasonable charges. There is free parking in the High Street if you can get a space, but we where there over the Bank Holiday weekend, so it was very busy. Dunster castle is walkable as is Dunster station on the West Somerset Railway Heritage line. Wonderful birthday weekend!"
