"Really run down building and don't expect what you see in the photos. A grand mansion it most certainly is not. Shower was so cold I didn't bother. Had to ask them for a double room (which I had paid extra for) and was given a twin. The staff were not exactly eager to address the problem and I ended up in the same room with the beds pushed together. Not good enough."

The service was on par with any 5 star hotel I have been to. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was solid. The convenience to several of Scotland's beat golf courses was amazing. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to explore this beautiful area."

"Staff were excellent, helpful and polite. Room was clean although soap, was open on sink. In morning turned shower on, drain was blocked, as tray was low rim, water overflowed quickly on bathroom floor, dried with towels into toilet. Went to reception, staff came along quickly and sorted out vacant room to have shower. Breakfast good selection, bacon not very well cooked, otherwise ok. "
