"The cabin was very cute. Looked like pictures. It was clean but very dusty and spiderwebs and spiders. Maybe the time of year don’t know. We rented because it was within thirty minutes of our house with room for dogs to run and canoe and water access. Within ten minutes of being there we read that there were other dogs roaming the property. And we saw the m shortly after checking in. They were nice but our dog is almost completely blind so having the other dogs there created him to be very...

"Nice place only thing I would recommended is updating beds to queen or king size."

"We stayed here because my son got married at Burdoc Farms Oct 17th, 2026. The house was so cute, very clean and about 10 minutes from the venue. Any messages I sent to Phyllis, she got back to me promptly. The only downside was we would get back so late from setting up/wedding that it was too chilly to enjoy the front/back porch and gaze at all the stars. It’s just over a 2 hr drive (from Louisville) so if I needed a quick weekend reset, this would be the perfect quiet place to unwind."

"Great place with a lot of room. My youth group especially enjoyed the games downstairs"

"The place was very quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed the calm atmosphere. It was a great place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Everything was clean and comfortable, and I had a very nice stay."

"It was a quaint, clean cottage. Loved the seclusion and would love to stay again."

"Property was great ..quiet neighborhood..close to everything..great host and communication..I will not stay at a hotel again..when in this area..I will stay here again"

"Nice clean space with room for everything we needed. Host was quick to always keep us up to date on our reservation, check in and check out.One minor issue was resolved immediately. Would stay here again although it's not fenced in on one side so luckily that was not an issue for us."

"The house needs a lot of work, peeling paint , cracks in woodwork, mold at bottom of living room window, and light bulbs out everywhere. There is a very strong mildew odor. Host has 2 dehumidifiers running constantly which indicates a lot of moisture. It is a charming house that needs a major makeover."

"Amazing place to stay!!"

"Second time staying here and still awesome! Highly recommend for solo travellers or if you just enjoy time off in the middle of the nature. I’d choose this place over any hotel any time."

"Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us."

"Absolutely wonderful! Communication with the host was easy and timely. Answered all of my questions and was very accommodating to requests. Answered immediately when we were there regarding trash and so on. Beautiful property! Saw deer grazing on the lawn. Private dock was terrific for fishing and swimming. Loved the huge back deck especially with the covered area when it drizzled some. Just was a really great experience! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will be...

"Very good communication"

"This place was perfect for my family of 6. The outside covered deck was a plus. Not many stairs to water after being in house. We rented a boat from Lake Malone Pontoon Rentals. Would definitely consider Lake Malone again."
