"The Virginian is a small and older motel in small town southern Virginia. If you are looking for a bed for a few nights this is the place. If you're looking for fancy, look elsewhere, The staff was helpful, the beds comfortable, and the location convenient for what I needed. It is also pet friendly for a $10 per night pet fee, much less than I have paid elsewhere."

Romantic Cabin Getaway - King Bed - Fast Wi-Fi - Pet-Friendly

"Beautiful place to stay and relax. The cabin is so clean and inviting. The king-size bed is very comfortable and plenty of extra blankets and pillows are provided for your comfort. I think the power had gone off before we got there because the door code given didn’t work. I messaged our host and he immediately phoned me (which I thought was wonderful). He stayed on the phone with me until the problem was taken care of, which wasn’t long at all. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings sitting out on the back covered porch. Our little chihuahua loves that porch. We saw several deer and plenty of rabbits! We stayed three nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. We have been visiting Meadows of Dan for six years and love exploring all the businesses in the area. Staying in these cabins is one of the highlights of the trip."
Tuggle's Gap Roadside Inn - Blue Ridge Parkway

"This place is actually quite the gem. The only knock I have is that you cannot check in until 4:00 pm but the staff departs about 3:00. So you do a self-check in. That is absolutely fine except we don’t know that until we arrive at 4:30 pm. You have to travel six miles to Floyd to find dinner as the Tuggle’s Gap diner closes after lunch. Also their sign says the store is open 24/7 which is not true. It closes at same as the cafe. Very nice rooms and they are clean! Great location very close to an entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Give them a look!"
