"The place was clean and felt very cosy. It was clearly newly refurbished and was clean. The beds were not too great though. In one of the bedrooms the wooden boards under the mattress were loose and had to put back in place. That is when it became clear they had better all be replaced. The sheets were made of synthetic fibers instead of cotton. And the place is above a fish shop. The owners have done all they can to repel the smell, but there is no escaping it when you enter. "Very comfortable room (the ones with a balcony in the range 31-36 ish). Warm (it was end Nov), attractive, carpeted (always a bonus), beautiful sunrise view. We’ve tried all room types over 20 years at Val Moret but this is our favourite so far (already booked for next 3 visits). Reception lady was very helpful and attentive. This is a really good travelling stopover choice. The restaurant is consistently very good. Menu choices are seasonally varied and of a high standard. Presentation is excellent, flavours well balanced and varied. Desserts are always amazing. The waiting staff are professional and attentive. This restaurant punches well above its weight. Always have Champagne with your meal. "
