"House was spotless, cosy and warm. The owner thought of little things you may forget to bring with you, condiments, cleaning stuff ect. The house location is perfect, half way between Keem beach and Achill sound where you enter on to the Island. We had such a nice time there and hope to return next summer when the weather is better. "Our son attended the Ceol Na Mara String Summer School in Kylemore Abbey and there is no better location than this to stay as it is so near to the abbey. Great restaurants, Connemara National Park/Diamond Hill and grocery store all within walking distance. Beautiful places to visit just a short drive away. Perfect!"

"Enjoyed our short stay at this warm and cozy cottage. Well equipped kitchen, if you aren’t eating out all the time as we were. The grounds and cottage are lovely for a perfect trip to Clifden and Connemara. Wi-Fi excellent and didn’t expect it to be so good in the remoteness and hillside surroundings. "

"We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The surrounding area is stunning and the cottage was a great base to explore all of this. "Absolutely love this apartment. It was the best place we stayed in Ireland. The apartment was exactly as show and was well equipped, it seemed like everything had been thought of. I felt like I was staying at a friend’s place. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms clean and spacious. Walking distance of pubs and stores and restaurants. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others."

"This was one of the most welcoming and relaxing homes we’ve ever stayed in. The location was quiet and rural, but central enough to allow us to visit many locations across the region and have a relaxing base to return to. Norma is a wonderful host and we highly recommend this property!"

"My wife and I and a friend from London stayed at the Nox Hotel Galway on 14th July as a stopover on our west of Ireland trip. I had difficulty finding a hotel in Galway as the Galway Arts Festival was in full swing on that date. I was apprehensive as The Nox Hotel was graded as a 3 star hotel but on arrival had I not known I would have presumed it was 4 star. The reception area was large, modern in design with comfortable seating. The reception staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were large, comfortable and well set out with all the amenities one would expect from a four star hotel. There was a phone at reception to book a taxi at a fixed price to Eyre Square in Galway. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide selection of hot and cold items. All the food at breakfast was well presented and delicious and the staff were efficient and friendly. A couple of other guest reviews have commented about the dark corridors and it can be a bit disconcerting to step out of the lift to low lighting but main lights come on as you proceed along the corridor. It's the hotel's way of reducing its energy footprint and making the hotel more "green" and I approve of that. All in all a very enjoyable stay at the Nox Hotel and if I return to Galway would have no hesitation in booking in at the Nox Hotel again."
"Chose the hotel based on location and ratings.
We were very happy with lovely staff.
My only critique would be for the room to have dressers and closet space as we had to live out of our suitcases."
"Excellent stay at the Ellison. It was very hot weather and the staff kindly brought us a fan and could not have been more helpful with bookings and directions. Great location with plenty of restaurants and shops a short walk away."
"Stayed here as a family of 4. Room was huge with big windows. Great air conditioning too! Plenty of free parking. Also nice to have free use of the Pool. Its nice to have a dip whilst o na road trip around Ireland! Good Steam room and sauna too. You do need to wear a hat in the pool, which they sell for €3.50 each, so maybe buy a cheap set online before you go, but otherwise very good.
Didn't eat here. Bar was ok though but the glasses were quite dirty on all the drinks. Its right on the edge of Galway city if you are looking to visit the centre. There is a shopping centre and places to eat next door though.
Could do with a bit of a refurb in the room but if you get a good rate, I would recomend staying here still."
