This was a FABULOUS stop during our around the country tour of Ireland! I HIGHLY recommend using the deep tub and reading a book! I also recommend downloading and using What's App so you can contact the host. We were nervous at first when we couldn't find our previous e-mail on our phones but Phillip sent a second e-mail and then we were gran! We toured the UK and this was the best hotel by far. I loved everything about it. Nice, small apartment with everything you need. Responsive on-site service. Very friendly and clean. I wish there were more of these all over the UK.

Well communicated contactless check in, beautiful property and rooms, cute little town, and the breakfast was good! Coffee was great, Charlie makes a great flat white! Parking can be a little bit of a nuisance, and like many historical properties no elevator so if you need help with your luggage plan ahead as the property is not always staffed. Lovely. As soon as we walked through the door, we knew we made the right choice. The restaurant/bar area was beautiful and cozy. The hotel staff was welcoming. Our room was nicely decorated, and the bay window view of the sea was gorgeous. I will stay at the Avoca any time that I return to Newcastle.

We stayed in the Vintage Room at the Lisnacurran Guest House. It was a gorgeous room, very tastefully decorated with antiques. The bed itself had a fantastic headboard with wonderful woodwork. This room had it own separate bathroom that was very large and included a clawfoot tub. Claire was the employee that we dealt with and she was a joy. She had a very welcoming and pleasant personality.

Hands down, the best hotel experience we’ve had, including stays at boutique design hotels. Second Nature understands the actual needs of travelers and has built a bespoke and accommodating stay that meets you where you’re at. What stood out to us most was a 2 PM check in AND check out, so you actually get a full day, and breakfast that’s flexible to late sleepers — literally unheard of anywhere else. Beautiful castle dating back to 1625 AD, but had all the comforts and amenities of a newer hotel. Spectacular view of sea from room. The bed was amazing! Definitely our favorite place of all the places we stayed this trip.
