"The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, Wonderful location and views are breathtakingly beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good but not awesome . Same with the dinner. Room service was a bit slow and the soup arrived ice cold. Other than those two negatives, I’d definitely stay here again."

"The original building is stunning and a walk into the past. It is filled with antiques and other beautiful ornamentation. However, The new wing of the hotel where most guests stay , is now 25 years old. It is in need of refurbishment. Still, the rooms are large, clean, with lovely traditional furnishings. Staff generally are gracious and willing to accommodate, however it took one hour to check in and deliver our luggage to the room. There was only one other guest checking in at the same...

"One thing that was disappointing was that there was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee or coffee pods. After a long flight from Mumbai, India with a missed/rebooked flight at Frankfurt arriving in Lisbon at nine pm, all I wanted was a coffee and bed. I called the receptionist and was told that I would have to purchase the coffee at that hour. The room fridge had no water, or coffee pods or even a pack of juice! Disappointing indeed!"
