Wine & Books Porto Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"This is a lovely little hotel, with very welcoming and English speaking staff. It is well located and was a real oasis to return to during our week of exploration. The pool particularly feels luxurious and was bigger than I expected from the photo, large enough for 4 or 5 people to do lengths at the same time without much trouble. Breakfast is of high quality, with buffet cold options and a la carte hot options, in a pleasant dining room. Three kinds of pre-packaged gluten free pastries are available but no sliced bread for toast, and there is also gluten free corn flakes. We were prepared by other reviews for the glass boxed shower and the see through toilet door - we hung a dressing gown on the toilet door for some privacy. We weren't prepared for the lack of storage space, there are only 8 hangers, and a shelf at the base of the hanging space, under which are two shallow drawers - and that's it. We had to pile all our non-hanging clothes on the shelf. Also, despite the pool, there is nowhere to hang swimming costumes to dry, and nowhere to hang wet towels apart from one wall hook near the sinks and one wall hook in the toilet area - no towel bars at all. I think the room designers should be made to live in the room for a week and they might reconsider their choices. But overall, it was an enjoyable stay."
Hotel Jaguar Oporto - Airport to Hotel and City Center and Vice-Versa is a Free and Continuous Shuttle Service from 7AM to 8PM
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were outstanding! From our shuttle driver, to the welcoming reception personnel (changed daily and everyone was extremely helpful) and the restaurant staff. Complimentary Shuttle from the airport on our arrival and to the bus station on our departure. Room was clean and we enjoyed our welcoming fruit platter. Hotel location was good for our walking adventures in Porto and Metro passes were a lovely bonus if we needed them. Would highly recommend Hotel Jaguar"
