"The owner of this lovely small hotel - really like a bed & breakfast - was waiting outside on her sidewalk bench when we pulled up. Beautiful quiet village in the gorgeous North France mountains, bicyclists and hikers everywhere, fresh food and delicious local bubbly wine (remember don't call it "champagne" if it's not from the Champagne region!). Very friendly. As traditional in France, they are very proud of their French language and don't particularly try to excel in "speaking English" but...
"Breakfast was good. Parking was adequate. Restaurant was good. Staff was good, including the restaurant. It’s in the middle of the midieval town, which was built on the rock cliffs. The river runs in the middle of the town, and there is a low level bridge at tge hotel to walk to a park across the river. We stayed here in early May, and the day we were there, the bridge was partially flooded. But the next morning the bridge was dry. The road bridge is way above, and never floods, so no worries....
