"A nicely renovated older building in a central location with excellent access to town centre. We had a larger room which was nicely decorated. Loved the milk for my tea/coffee in the room, and the welcome cookies. Bed comfy and good towels. Would’ve appreciated a magnifying mirror for makeup, and an in room fridge. The restaurant/ bar was good, but seemed to have very restrictive hours, and service was not as attentive as it could’ve been. No room service or phone in room either. A small hiccup...

"The hotel was well located in the middle of town. There was no air conditioning, but the temperatures cooled off at night and a fan was provided. But the staff was the most wonderful part of our stay. They were pleasant, helpful, and just overall wonderful!"

"A lot of character and history. Our room was very nostalgic and quite spacious. You don’t get a fridge or AC in these older inns. There’s good beer, decent food and included breakfast. There’s a very small team of younger staff who are quite responsive and who are trying very hard to keep up in a busy environment. I think they deserve some more support to be honest. They appear to be nice kids who are a bit overwhelmed by the amount of work they have to do. We had an ant problem in our room and...
